Meal prepping is a great way to lose weight, have more healthy, home-cooked meals during the week, and cook even when you have a busy lifestyle. Meal prepping has many different forms, from chopping up vegetables and putting aside pre-measured portions of ingredients, to actually cooking some of your meats and other foods, then putting them in the refrigerator or freezer.

With meal prepping, much of the work is done for you, so that when dinner rolls around, preparing or cooking the meal is quick and easy. This discourages driving through fast food restaurants and encourages more home cooking.

In order to meal prep, you need to start with containers to store the different portions of your meals and ingredients. The reusable meal prep containers are great for that! This is a good starter pack since it includes ten containers that are stackable and easy to store in the refrigerator or freezer.

These containers are perfect for storing food since they are made of food-safe plastic, are reusable, and easy to clean. Their stackable design allows them to take up the least space possible in your refrigerator or freezer. Their material is BPA-free and is safe to put in the microwave or dishwasher. They can keep your hot items hot and cold items cold.

The meal prepping containers come with airtight lids that are easy to take off, but keep food fresh when they are on tightly. No leaks will occur either, so even when traveling with the containers, your food remains safe. These are also great for placing in your lunch box, backpack, and six-pack cooler as their size and design fits in many types of bags.

The lids of the containers are also clear so you that you can see what is inside. While you should still label everything so you know when it is good until, this is really helpful when you are running late and trying to find something in a hurry.

There are honestly not many disadvantages to the containers. You might find it inconvenient that all 10 containers are exactly the same size if you wanted different portions, or if you wanted some smaller containers for sauces and dressings.

However, these are a very good size to start with when building up your meal prepping container collection at home. The material is sturdy enough to handle freezing and hot temperatures, and makes it easier to prep ingredients for more healthy meals to cook at home.

Sometimes, there just aren’t enough hours in a day to cook a full-on meal—that’s where prepping comes in. Continue reading here…
